Hi, I'm Jason! While I am a physicist by training, I have always had a love for art. After a visit to the art museum with a friend resulted in a joke that we would both become famous artists, I decided to start making my own art.
Outside of creating art, my desire to understand nature led me to a Bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics at Saint Louis University in 2018, upon which I entered the physics Ph.D. program at Washington University in St. Louis where I currently study fundamental nuclear interactions.
That very desire to understand nature is what also drives me to create art. To capture its beauty in visual form aside from the abstract descriptions I explore in my academic pursuits. Whether that nature is the world around us, the human form, or human experience, my goal is to convey the essence of what I see and experience: a moment suspended in time for others to see and experience.
